What's a postpartum doula?

A postpartum doula is a support person who comes into your home to support you and your family in the early weeks following birth. As your doula I will be there as a calm, educated, and helpful presence. I am there to ensure that you're taken care of, while you care for your baby. I bring evidence-based information to help you gain the confidence you need to become the parent you want to be!

How can I help your family?

Postpartum doula care looks different for every family. Here are some ways I can support you:

  • Assisting in and educating on baby care

  • Light housework (dishes, tidying, laundry, etc.)

  • Meal prep

  • Running errands

  • Support with recovery from birth

  • Sibling care

  • An extra set of hands

  • A listening ear

  • Assisting parents build confidence

  • Support in processing your birth story

  • I typically work for a 4 hour shift during the day, or a 9 hour shift during overnights.

  • I can provide care anywhere from 1-5x a week.

  • $35/hour for daytime services

  • $45/hour for overnight service

  • To increase the accessibility of my care, I work on a sliding scale. Please contact me if you wish to discuss this.

  • I may charge an additional $5/hour if I am traveling more than 20 miles to compensate for travel costs.
